這個是非常重要的基礎性資料型態，會大量出現在複雜性資料型態中。
注意，他只能攜帶可被顯示，可被列印的ASCII碼的內容（當然可攜帶中文），不包含格式控制。如需要有格式控制的功能，要使用
FT
。
他是靠左對齊。
一般攜帶長度是不超過1000個字元。若要攜帶長字串，建議使用
TX
或
FT
。
